About me

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Regina, Canada. My research takes a big data approach to questions that sit at the intersection of macroecology and conservation. I am also passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of scientists!

I completed my PhD in Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University, where I worked with Dr. Arne Mooers to investigate global biodiversity change, population genetics and coral reef ecology. Before SFU, I completed my MSc in Zoology at UBC with Dr. Leticia Avilés, studying community ecology in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

Outside the lab, I’m co-founder of Wide Open Projects and Elevate Playing Cards.
